Anticipation

Ok so today is the suspected magical day… the day of Disney CP applications and tension is running high. I am excited about the prospect of going home, I am anxious to get my application in, I am nervous about the stiff competition who I have come to be quite fond of, and I am terrified of the possibility of not getting in and all the horrible mental scenarios that spin off from that. But regardless of any of that im just SOOO excited to get started with the plan to return homeJ I have my maps, I have adventures, a PIC, friends its going to be wonderful.

In other news I have my Micro Econ class today, I really enjoyed the first class so that is exciting the only potential downside is that if the applications haven’t come out yet I don’t know how I am going to manage to pay attention at all. My SPI class I have done nearly no work and I feel very ashamed about that but I am working on it and the reading is actually coming on fairly well.

Not really much to report in other news, car still not working, job still not happening, still trying no tot spend money EXCEPT for the fact that I have been working a bit on a welcome back present for Catherine and I a really excited about seeing how she reacts when she sees it J still have 17 days to go till then but that’s ok cause its just more time to prep, which cant hurt. Our room is almost cleaned and prepped and ready for her return just a few more minor details to attend to.

I got a package in the mail yesterday which is always fun and I am looking forward to at least three more in the next week.

I cant really think of anything else, just sitting in the waiting room watching PLL.

weekend update

Saturday- stayed up late chatting with the D-Fam. Woke up early and went to the Pick-N-Pull didn’t find anything worth getting. Came home studied a little worked in the sheds for a while moved stuff around, then dad and I went to dinner at Ghengis Grill and went to the movies to see True Grit which I was quite excited about, se didn’t though we ended up seeing Season of the Witch, which wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great it was one of those movies that was good to see but in two years no-one will remember it.

Sunday- woke up early went to the Pick-N-Pull again lol found what we needed this time, fixed the blinkers on the metro, went to the flea market and walked around, came home watched a football game played Hitman and talked with the D-Fam. I find it interesting how 99% of the time my father can’t stand my presence but then every once and a while he gets in the right mood and we spend a couple of days hanging out and they are usually nice, we talk fix stuff etc. I wish it could be like that more often though its very frustrating having to wait until the random blue moon weekend to spend time around him.

Monday- while not actually part of the conventional weekend I count it this time because Melinda didn’t have school. I went to Mammaw and Pappaws with the hope of getting some work done, since I was unable to focus at home due to all the ambient noise and distractions. This didn’t work out however I spent the afternoon watching Big Bang Theory, looking for embroidery prices, talking to Catherine and cleaning a much better use of my time if you ask me.

The Wild One

So tonight I finally saw “The Wild One”, classic Marlon Brando motorcycle movie and in some ways I loved it and in some ways I wish I hadn’t. I knew that it was based on the events that happened in Hollister, CA. but I really didn’t like a lot of how things were portrayed.

Enough about that though the good stuff…Brando is amazing of course as he always is, and the female lead Mary Murphy is wonderful. The storyline is good like I said a little much on the “”ruffians” side at times for me but the romantic aspects and the over all flow and dynamics are superb.
The classic motorcycles in the film are BREATHTAKING, I love them all but I really love the bike Brando rides, which coincidentally just happens to be his actual motorcycle, they allowed him to ride it because he felt comfortable on it and it really shows.

Overall if you haven’t seen this movie please do, BUT keep in mind that the lifestyle portrayed is a over dramatization and most bikers don’t act like that.

Thank You

I WANT IT SO BAD!!!!

Ok so heres the deal I have a major weakness for bow-ties, especially purple paisley bow-ties. I love them they are fun and I have wanted one for a VERY long time so finding this one which is PERFECT is just taunting in a uncool way its $25 so its cheap enough I really want to get it yet expensive enough I know that I shouldn’t. Its fun its beautiful and I really really want it. The Tie

Growing up, or just wising up?

SO YESTERDAY WE WENT MUDDIN AN ACTIVITY THAT AS A YOUNGN I USED TO THOUROUGHLY ENJOY FOR THOSE OF MY READERS WHO ARE UNEDUCATED IN THE REDNECK ARTS ALLOW ME TO ILLUMINATE YOU

YUP THAT'S IT WE GO OUT AND PLAY IN THE MUD JUST LIKE WHEN YOU WERE A KID 'CEPT NOW THE TRUCKS YOU PLAY WITH ARE REAL.
ANYWAYS BACK ON POINT LIKE I SAID I USED TO LOVE MUDDIN ME AND MY FRIENDS WOULD GO ALL THE TIME AND IT WOULD BE A BLAST, WELL APPARANTLY SOMETHING CHANGED.
YESTERDAY DAD AND I JUMPED IN HIS GMC AND ED AND MELINDA (FAMILY FRIEND AND MY SISTER) JUMPED IN HIS JACKED UP F-250 AND WE HEADED OUT TO THE MUD PIT
WELL THINGS WERE GOING FINE TRUCK WAS GREAT MUD WAS GOOD YET SOMETHING WAS DIFFERENT I WASN'T HAVING FUN AT ALL I WAS BORED AND COULD'NT STOP THINKING ABOUT OTHER THINGS I COULD BE DOING WITH MY TIME
TO ADD INSULT TO THIS MENTAL INJURY THE TRUCK SUCKED UP WATER AND DIED AND WE ENDED UP HAVING TO TOW IT BACK HOME, YAY (INSERT GIANT SARCASTIC EYE ROLL HERE)
SO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LITTLE BOY WHO USED TO LOVE MUDDIN AND DREAMED OF HAVING HIS OWN TRUCK ONE DAY?
IDK, SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY HE TRADED IN MUDDIN’ FOR MORE PRODUCTIVE HOBBIES AND THAT TRUCK SOMEHOW TURNED INTO A FOUR DOOR LUXURY CAR (SPECIFICALLY A BMW LOL)
SO HERE IS THE QUESTION AND FEEL FREE TO LEAVE YOUR OPINIONS ON THIS ONE...
DID PETER PAN BREAK HIS PROMISE AND GROW UP, OR DID HE JUST FIND NEW DREAMS TO CHASE DREAMS THAT FIT WITH WHO HE WANTS TO BE AND WHO HE WANTS TO BE WITH?

Barnes and Nobles

I LOVE going to Barnes and Nobles, well really any book store but especially B&N, I rode to the mall, got a nice cup of peppermint white hot chocolate, snuggled down into a comfy chair with a few magazines and a book or two and I just read for a couple hours.

Vanity Fair- Catherine told me about an article/photo shoot of Ralph Lauren’s garage so I had to check it out and I must say…breath-taking.

Architecture Digest- while not normally on my list of must reads the cover was a beautiful picture of Ralph Lauren (go figure) walking down a beautiful black iron stair case in a very sharp white room with lost of Black contrasts (B&L photos, vase etc.) and I wanted to see what it was about. Turns out it was for his new build from scratch Women’s, and Home store on Madison Ave. the building looks more like a gorgeous black and white photo of a classical Hampton summer home. While I wouldn’t want to live in it (too sharp, not enough color, and not very soft or homey) It was very pretty to look at and next time I am in new york I would LOVE to visit. (still my favorite is the Polo store in SoHo that looks like an English Men’s Club)

Details- I really shouldn’t be allowed to read GQ and Details, the clothing is so nice and I Just wan to buy it ALL lol but as always a pleasure to look through and day dream about. (plus   found out about a fun website ArtofShaving.com  )

Harley: a detailed pictorial history- I love bikes (I will do a post on that soon maybe today even) but I REALLY love old bikes (cars, clothes, people, houses etc. what can I say I am an old soul really and I appreciate history in all its forms) so I really enjoyed looking at a book that was nothing but pictures of old motorcycles for a while. I especially loved the pre-WWII models, and the mid-50’s models If I ever get a Harley I would really like to modify it to look that old since I am sure I will never be able to afford a real one from that time period.

Mutineer- why I read a magazine about alcoholic beverages? Truth is I don’t I just look at the pictures, the photographers at this magazine are wonderful and they are always at large social events so between the articles on Whiskey vs. Whisky, and beer for the refined man you can find beautiful photos of people all dressed up at interesting venues holding delicious looking drinks in amazing glass wear I wish I could go to events like that truly I love getting dressed up but I never have a reason too.
Cigar Aficionado- didn’t read, I usually do I love this magazine something about the culture and the ritualism of cigar smoking fascinates me BUT since it is a quarterly publishing magazine not a monthly, I have already read it multiple times.

I would have loved to have read playboy, I hear there is an excellent article this month on a new restaurant opening up in Tampa soon BUT that is a behind the counter magazine and since I cant afford to spend money on magazines right now sadly it went unread lol.

Like I said in the beginning I love book stores, I love the smell I love the plush chairs, the perfect lighting the music, and most of all I love the books I didn’t really read a lot of books this time but that’s cause I have two books at home I am currently reading I really just needed to get out of the house and do something that didn’t take any brain power

SO its been a while

So its been a while and lets be honest I’ve been slackin’ and for that I apologize.

Update: not much to report really still no job, no school, waiting for Disney Applications, and for Catherine’s procedure- Lol I feel like right now my life is trapped in line at the DMV BUT im getting pretty close to the front of the line and that is exciting.

Today: I got to sleep early (2:30 am) and got to sleep in late (9:30 am) YAY!!!!!, I made myself a BIG breakfast cause last night I was trapped w/o food and I ended up with a migraine, shaky, felt sick and have been told that I looked pouty So to avoid a repeat I have stashed granola bars in my room J. I also played a little Crash Bandicoot, did some math homework, laundry, Wal-Mart (got some Listerine that Catherine introduced me to) and… went to the bookstore. I also watched Somewhere in Time , a movie of Catherine’s that is interesting, the story it self is a little slow at times but its great for lazy days and the background/setting is PHENOMINAL!!!! Deff. Worth a watch if you haven’t seen it before.

Tomorrow: I need to go to school check on a random fee that I have in my file, and also I think I will spend some time in the school library (maybe if im at school I will actually do some work) also I need to find my class room cause Tuesday night I start my new class on Micro-Economics J should be interesting
